The Plan of Salvation

The Plan of Salvation: An Overview

Jehovah God has a seven-step Plan, to reveal His plan and purpose for humankind. The plan of salvation is based on the spiritual meaning of the feasts of the LORD, holy convocations, which are to be proclaimed in their seasons for ever (Leviticus 23).

1.  PASSOVER
Passover represents Christ’s death to redeem us from our sin. He died for our salvation. Likewise, through water baptism, we are dead, buried and raised with Christ to receive eternal life.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
(Passover: Le 23: 5; Mt 26: 2, 17-19; Mar 14: 12-16; Mar 16:16; Lk 2: 41-42; 22: 1, 7 -20; John 2:13, 23; 6: 4; 13: 1-30; 1Co 11: 23-29)

2. UNLEAVENED BREAD
The Unleavened Bread represents our conversion from sin to holiness. The purpose is to live by the Holy Spirit of God and to do His will.
To overcome, it is vital to put on the whole armors of God (Ephesians 6:10-20).
(Unleavened Bread: Lev 23: 6-8; Mt 26:17, 17-19; Mar 14: 12-16; Luke 2: 41-42; 22: 1-7; Acts 2: 1-21; 20 : 16; 1Cor 5: 6-8)

3.  PENTECOST
The third step to salvation is in PENTECOST, which represents the pouring of the Holy Spirit of God onto us, to receive the power of the Most High.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit enables us to keep our faith in Jesus. The Holy Spirit endows us with the power to keep God's Word, commandments and laws, and to overcome sin.
(Pentecost: Lev 23: 15-22; Acts 2: 1-21; 20:16; 1Cor 16: 8)

4. THE FEAST OF THE TRUMPETS
The Trumpets represents the return of Christ (1) to save humanity from mutual destruction, and (2) to receive the saints, who are the firstfruits of the Spirit who are endowed with an eternal life, and (3) to restore the Kingdom of God on earth. At this stage, the First Resurrection takes place.
(Trumpets: Lev 23: 23-25; Mt 24: 30-31; 1 Thess 4: 16-17; Rev 11:15)
5. The Day of Atonement
The Day of Atonement foretells what will happen to Satan and his fellow demons after the coming of Christ. They will be bound for a thousand years; that is until the end of the Millenium.
(Day of Atonement: Lev 23: 26-30; Heb 10; Acts 27: 9, Rev 20:1-3)
6.  THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES
The Feast of Tabernacles or the Feast of Booths symbolizes the Millennial Rein of Christ (the Millennium), which is a time of peace throughout the world, the times of refreshing, which is the goal of true Christians.
(Tabernacles: Lev 23: 33-43; John 7: 1-2, 8-14; Acts 3: 19-23; 18; 21)
7. THE LAST GREAT DAY
The Last Great Day represents the Second Resurrection, a hundred-year time to fully learn and know God and to obey His laws and commandments.
(The eighth day: Lev 23:36; John 7: 37-38)

WHAT WILL HAPPEN AFTER THE MILLENIUM?
After the millennium, there is a second resurrection, which is followed by the final judgment, and the second death for the unrepentant whose name is not found in the Book of Life.
(Rev 20: 5-11; Isa 65: 20, Rev 21:1-4)
After the final judgment, there will be a new heaven and a new earth.
